Then forward the mail from that account to GMail. Then you can always have access to all your mail, even while it funnels into GMail. So for me, martin@galese.net (IMAP store forever) --> GMail (IMAP store while it lasts) I think that's much better than having yet-another-webmail account, though it's not as cheap (free).
